Project Themes

Project Themes

Reducing the carbon and greenhouse gas emissions that drive climate change are necessary to increase our wildlife’s ability to survive the effects of climate change. This project reduces GHG in the atmosphere, improves soil health, improves water retention, and improves wildlife habitat by implementing carbon farm plans
This project addresses habitat loss by expanding monarch, pollinator, and other wildlife habitat on public and private lands. Project will also increase and improve monarch data gathered through the use of Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program (IMMP) data collection and monitoring protocols vital to shaping our understanding of how monarchs interact with their environment, documenting conservation efforts, and tracking the population and its habitat as they change over time.
Through our Carbon Farm Plan, we will expand the adoption of silvopasture and windbreaks on farms and ranches through demonstration sites, technical guidance documents, videos, factsheets, and increased technical assistance for landowners.
