Project Overview
Basics
Teaching Environmental and Agricultural Memories (TEAM)- Field Trips
Implementation
The TEAM Program (Teaching Environmental and Agricultural Memories) is designed to enrich the 3rd-5th grade Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) curriculum with a direct connection to our county’s abundant farms that have been protected from development by the voter-approved quarter-cent sales tax measure that funds the Ag and Open Space District’s work. For over ten years, the RCD has subcontracted with the County of Sonoma’s Ag and Open Space District to provide Sonoma County’s youth with a special educational opportunity to tour local farms and ranches protected under conservation easement to study the intersection of agriculture, ecology and economics.
