GRRCD has established the Freezeout Creek Ranch Illegal Disposal Cleanup Project with grant funding received from the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) Farm and Ranch Solid Waste Cleanup and Abatement Grant Program (Program). The purpose of this project was to cleanup of illegal disposal sites on farm and ranch property. The Freezeout Creek Ranch is zoned for agriculture, and it actively managed on a sustainable basis for forest products. The project used grant funds to fully remediate the illegally disposed items. The discarded items include several car batteries, used motor oil, and 89 tires.
