Watershed Restoration
Riparian Habitat Restoration
The Western Shasta Resource Conservation District entered into an agreement with CalTrans in order to complete the CA Department of Fish and Wildlife's permit requirements stemming from an emergency culvert replacement after the 2018 Carr Fire. This project focuses on the mitigation of riparian habitat loss from that emergency project. The WSRCD's scope of work consists of installing and maintaining the mitigation site and plantings, as well as providing reports on the monitoring and progress of the project. This project began on May 1, 2021, and the agreement expires on June 30, 2027.
