Direct Benefits to Disadvantaged Communities (DACs)
Western Placer Unified School District is made up of 34.9% socioeconomically disadvantaged students. This habitat will provide a learning exercise for students within their Sustainable Agriculture Pathway Program.
Indirect Benefits to Disadvantaged Communities (DACs)
This project does not have any indirect benefits to disadvantaged Communities.
Wildlife Habitat Improvement Invertebrate (Insect, Crustacean) Habitat Restoration
This project will plant a 200' hedgerow within the Market Garden at the Lincoln High School Student Farm. The purpose of this project will be to create a habitat for beneficial insects and pollinators that provide Integrated Pest Management and pollination to the Market Garden. While providing a living laboratory space for students to learn about California native plants, pollinating species, and sustainable agriculture.
