Direct Benefits to Disadvantaged Communities (DACs)
Partners chose 5 Sonoma County schools for each of the two grant years from a pool of applicants, prioritizing underserved schools to offer the resources from this grant.
Technical Assistance and Education/Outreach Outreach and Education
NCRC&DC will collaborate with partners to provide Sonoma County schools with local food sourced from micro farmers and those using climate-friendly, regenerative practices. We will revitalize school gardens with plantings, infrastructure, and education; identify solutions to barriers to farm-to-school models; and provide farm trips and classroom modules.
