Carbon Farm Planning & Implementation
The Colusa County RCD created a Carbon Farm Plan spanning five thousand acres and multiple crop types.
This current project involves the restoration of two water ways on the property to improve habitat for pollinators and other riparian and wetland species.
Specific objectives include:
Selecting plant species from local nurseries, site preparation, installation and maintenance.
Habitat restoration along these sloughs will also serve as a demonstration site to promote the practice and recruit other land owners to participate in the future.
