Sonoma RCD and Friends of the Petaluma River will facilitate a participatory stakeholder watershed group for the Petaluma River Watershed. Stakeholders currently working in the Petaluma River Watershed will coordinate with one another on leveraging past and ongoing efforts, complete comprehensive planning for the watershed, and implement on-the-ground and watershed management projects through a participatory process that will foster the sustainability of such efforts. Grant funds will be used to carry out watershed consortium development, watershed restoration planning, and watershed management project design activities.
