Cleanups
The objective of this project was to remove an estimated 250-500 of illegally dumped tires from the water and banks in and along the first mile of Babel Slough in Clarksburg, CA. Part way through the project, the Yolo County Department of Community Services Environmental Health Division requested that this grant also support the clean up of a number of illegal tire dumps on farm land around the City of Woodland. With the approval of the granter and coordination with Babel Slough project stakeholders, the project objective expanded to include removing and deposing of an estimated 800 tires from four farm properties.
