Potrero Nuevo Farm Restoration Project

Planning/Design
Potrero Nuevo Farm is a 300-acre farm south of Half Moon Bay, CA, that integrates farming, grazing and wildlands. There are several ponds on site that are utilized by wildlife and cattle. The surrounding pond margin habitat is dominated by weedy species and can be improved by planting native vegetation, primarily trees and shrubs. The San Mateo Resource Conservation District (RCD) and Students and Teachers Restoring a Watershed (STRAW) are partnering to incorporate student, parent and teacher volunteers, to assist in site preparation, project installation, maintenance and monitoring.
