Castle Crags Root Creek Drainage Forest Fuels Management

Completed
This project is located in Castle Crags State Park. The area is a popular destination for the public and situated next to Interstate 5. A fire in this area could threaten public safety and destroy the Park's health. In order to reduce this risk, fuel reduction measures were implemented. This included the removal of understory, ladder fuels and large diameter trees. In addition, an access road was created to improve emergency ingress and egress.
