Planning/Design
Wright Wetland Preserve Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Project: The Lake County Resource Conservation District in partnership with the Lake County Land Trust is will restore approximately 32 acres of historic Clear Lake wetland. The Wright Wetland Preserve was identified as a high priority property in the California Department of Fish & Wildlife's Big Valley Conceptual Area Plan, and was purchased by the Lake County Land Trust in 2020 with funding from the California Wildlife Conservation Board. This habitat is of critical value to Clear Lake Hitch, designated by the CDFW as a threatened species.

Outreach & Education – Material Costs for construction of public access kiosk – Kiosk to give WCB recognition, include educational material to the public. Six newsletters progress reports to LC Land Trust subscribers and posted on LCRCD website. Two public educational workshops.
Has not started yet but would include the following: Habitat Installation, Plant Materials, Vegetation Management, Other Carbon Farm Plan Implementation Materials – Restoration of Hydraulic connectivity between Clear Lake & 32 acres of historic wetlands by breaching levees. Revegetation of 13 acres of restored wetlands with native tulles, sedges, rushes & other native wetland species. Use of levee breach spoils to remediate upland channel erosion by regrading & restoration of overland sheet flow. Budget is $165,225.00
