Wright Wetland Preserve Habitat Restoration and Enhancement Project: The Lake County Resource Conservation District in partnership with the Lake County Land Trust is will restore approximately 32 acres of historic Clear Lake wetland. The Wright Wetland Preserve was identified as a high priority property in the California Department of Fish & Wildlife's Big Valley Conceptual Area Plan, and was purchased by the Lake County Land Trust in 2020 with funding from the California Wildlife Conservation Board. This habitat is of critical value to Clear Lake Hitch, designated by the CDFW as a threatened species.
