Carbon Farm Planning & Implementation
The goal of the Marin Carbon Project Carbon Farming Program is to enhance agriculture's resiliency to climate change by providing producer outreach, technical infrastructure, and economic support in the implementation of carbon beneficial practices. The first step in the Carbon Farming process is to create a Carbon Farm Plan that captures a whole-farm’s potential in removing excess greenhouse gases from the earth’s atmosphere and into soils and vegetation building fertility, productivity and resiliency. The carbon farm plan encapsulates a visionary's perspective of carbon-beneficial practices that the farm can implement. It is the producer's aspiration to implement these practices over time.
