Project Themes
Project Themes
This main goal of this event was to bring together a diverse array of people to educate them about creek and watershed health. Presentations were wide-ranging and intentionally selected to represent areas throughout Alameda County. The program emphasized three themes: Management, Science, and Collaboration. Three student groups also attended portions of the day, giving them a unique learning experience.
The event provided local groups, community members and representatives from the public and private sectors interested in creek and watershed health the opportunity to meet, network, share innovative ideas and inspire new partnerships in watershed management in Alameda County. The event began with contextual presentations on the County’s geology and ecologic history as compared to the modern environment and our managed creek systems.
