Project Overview

Basics

Wildlife Habitat Improvement
Invertebrate (Insect, Crustacean) Habitat Restoration
Monarchs at the Maples

Completed
The Yolo County Resource Conservation District (YCRCD) worked with CLBL to create pollinator and wildlife habitat within a swale between two organic teaching fields. YCRCD installed a native grassland component and a beneficial habitat hedgerow along the top berm of the swale. Plants were chosen for their pollinator habitat value and include woody species and perennial forbs as well as annual flowering plants.
